I never planned to run for the Rockford Public Schools Board of Education. Seeking public office wasn't something I ever envisioned.

Like many parents, I simply wanted to cheer at concerts, celebrate report cards, volunteer when I could, and support my children throughout their education.

Over the years, my family has experienced so much that Rockford Public Schools has to offer. We've celebrated achievements, built relationships with incredible teachers and staff, and watched our children grow and thrive.

Like many families, we've also faced challenges. I've advocated for my children, navigated special education and student mental health, and learned firsthand how decisions made by the Board can shape a family's experience.

Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for what our district does well. They also showed me the importance of thoughtful leadership, preparation, transparency, and meaningful communication.

I believe our community deserves Board members who come prepared, ask thoughtful questions, listen before making decisions, remain approachable, and always keep students at the center of every decision.

That's why I decided to run for Rockford Public Schools Board of Education. I want to help build on the strengths of our district while working collaboratively with families, staff, administrators, and the community to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

If elected, I will work hard, lead with integrity, and earn your trust through my actions every day.
